IMPORTANT NOTICE
These Terms and Conditions contain provisions that limit and exclude the liability of Mobile Telephone Networks Proprietary Limited (“MTN”) and place obligations and responsibilities on participants.
These Terms and Conditions may result in participants being responsible for additional costs, including standard data charges.
Please pay careful attention to all clauses, especially those highlighted in bold.
To the extent that this promotional competition is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (“CPA”), no provision of these Terms and Conditions is intended to contravene the CPA. All provisions must be read subject to and qualified by the applicable provisions of the CPA.
Your participation in this promotional competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
MTN is running the Flip & Win Promotional Competition as part of its customer engagement and loyalty initiatives (“Competition”). Eligible participants stand a chance to win a cash prize through a random draw conducted after the Competition Period.
The promoter of this Competition is Mobile Telephone Networks Proprietary Limited, Registration Number 1994/009584/07, with its principal place of business at 216 14th Avenue, Fairland, Johannesburg, South Africa (“MTN”).
3.1 The Competition is open to:
• South African residents;
• Natural persons aged 18 years or older;
• MTN Prepaid customers who have access to the Flip & Win game during the Competition Period.
3.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate:
• Directors, members, partners, employees, agents, contractors or consultants of MTN or its subsidiaries;
• Immediate family members of the above persons.
4.1 The Competition will run from 01 October 2026 to 20 October 2026, both dates inclusive (“Competition Period”).
4.2 All times are based on South African Standard Time (SAST).
4.3 MTN reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Competition for reasonable operational or regulatory reasons, subject to applicable law.
5.1 Participation is free, subject only to standard data charges associated with using MTN digital platforms.
5.2 Participants earn Flip Gems through gameplay in the Flip & Win game.
5.3 Every 10 Flip Gems swapped equals one (1) entry into the draw.
5.4 There is no limit to the number of entries a participant may earn during the Competition Period.
6.1 There will be one (1) winner.
6.2 The prize is a BOUNCE Party valued at R 3800 for 10 kids, customer will receive a voucher/gift card valid for 6 months.
6.3 10 Pax Build-Your-Own BOUNCE Party at R3800.00 which includes a Bottle of Water, BOUNCE Party Bag and BOUNCE Grip Socks.
6.4 This excludes any extras like platters, balloons, and/or a birthday cake.
6.5 The customer can upgrade the party to a Standard Party that offers a Large Hot Dog, Fresh Popcorn, Fruit Juice or Water and a BOUNCE Sweet Box for an extra R100.00 per kiddo.
6.6 Both options include a 2 hour hosted jump session for all 10 kids.
6.7 The booking must be done through our contact centre on 0115172500 were the WiCode can be redeemed over the phone.
6.8 The prize:
• Is not transferable, not exchangeable and not refundable;
• May not be substituted for cash or any other reward;
• Will be issued within 10 (ten) business days after successful verification of the winner.
6.9 MTN is not responsible for any tax obligations arising from receipt of the prize.
7.1 The prize draw will take place within 10 (ten) business days after the end of the Competition Period.
7.2 Winners will be selected randomly using an automated random selection tool.
7.3 MTN’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8.1 The winner will be notified via SMS, email or telephone using the contact details linked to their MTN account.
8.2 If the winner:
• Cannot be contacted within 5 (five) business days, or
• Does not meet the eligibility requirements,
MTN reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
9.1 MTN will collect and process personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition, verifying winners, and awarding prizes.
9.2 All personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and MTN’s Privacy Policy, available at www.mtn.co.za.
9.3 Participants consent to such processing by entering the Competition.
10.1 MTN shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from:
• Technical failures or system outages;
• Network unavailability;
• App or platform downtime;
• Events beyond MTN’s reasonable control.
10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, MTN’s liability is limited to the value of the prize.
10.3 MTN reserves the right to disqualify any participant who acts fraudulently, dishonestly or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
10.4 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
A copy of these Terms and Conditions will be available on MTN’s official platforms during the Competition Period.
