Ayoba T&Cs: Please note that as of 16 November 2020 these Terms and Conditions have been amended and the provisions of clause 1,3,4,5 and 6 have been amended.

ANNEXURE B: DAILY LIFELINE DATA

1. MTN will offer all its customers (“subscribers”) a monthly free 1GB data bundle valid for 30 days to use in the ayoba App which will be capped at 250 MB per day .

2. The “ayoba monthly free data” will be subject to the terms and conditions contained in this “Annexure B”.

3 On the 1st of each month, subscribers will be allocated the monthly 1GB free data. Any unused data of the ayoba monthly 1GB free data will not carry over and will be forfeited if not used by the last calendar day of each month.

4. The ayoba monthly free data cannot be shared or transferred.

5. The ayoba monthly free data can only be used for the following activities offered in the Ayoba App:

5.1. Ayoba Chat (sending and receiving messages);

5.2. Ayoba Media (sending and receiving pictures, audio files, video files, locations, contacts and voice notes);

5.3. Ayoba Channels (viewing various channels which may include news, lifestyle, entertainment and others); and

5.4. Ayoba browser (internet browsing between 00:00:00 to 04:59:00).

6. The ayoba 1GB monthly free data in respect of ayoba Chat, ayoba Media and ayoba Channels was implemented as of 19 October 2020.

7. The ayoba 1GB free data per month may not be used for:

7.1. commercial purposes;

7.2. use in mobile devices not approved by ICASA or any other relevant authorities;

7.3. reverse engineering, decompiling, modifying or tampering with any software; or

7.4. any other unlawful or improper purposes whatsoever.

8. MTN reserves the right to amend or withdraw the ayoba 1GB monthly free data in respect of any subscriber if MTN suspects that such subscriber is engaging in any of the prohibited activities listed in 5 above or as it may arise.

9. MTN further reserves the right to exclude certain activities from the ayoba 1GB monthly free data as and when it may become available for use in the ayoba App such as, but not limited to:

9.1. voice over IP; and

9.2. video over IP.

10. If the ayoba App is suspended and/or discontinued for any reason whatsoever, the Ayoba monthly free 1GB offer will be withdrawn and cease to have effect.

11.The terms and conditions of the ayoba App apply in respect of the use of the ayoba 1GB monthly free data and can be accessed at www.ayoba.me/terms-conditions.

12. MTN will be indemnified by subscribers against any liabilities, loss or damage (direct or indirect) suffered as a result of or in connection with the subscriber’s use of the ayoba 1GB monthly free data, inability to use, or disruption of data services provided by MTN.
