In a few easy steps we allow you to join the MTN family and here’s how:
Buy your MTN SIM card and have it RICAed;
DO NOT (yet) insert the MTN SIM into the handset;
From your current SIM, SMS “PortMe#new-MTN-SIM-number” to
083 767 8287 (Normal SMS rates apply);
Client will receive an sms confirming that port is declined/authorised to port to MTN network
All activation are done during Network Switching Times “19:30-23:30”
Customer to only insert MTN SIM card the next day; select new number (will then receive an sms with ported number) and then dial 555 to get activated
Other important info:
Porting to MTN:
- Contact any Service Provider that stocks MTN, an MTN Service Centre or an MTN Dealership
or MTN Stormers/Zoners.
- Call MTN Direct on 083 123 3667 or 083 123 DOOR
Prepaid customers must bring:
- A CLI (Call Line Identity) Validation that you will get from the store.
- Proof of residence
Contract customers must bring
- ID number and proof of your residency, salary advice and three months bank statement
- If your number is from your company you need written permission from the company
that you work for
