Towards the end of last year, we launched our new brand campaign called #MyNightShift. This campaign centred on staff members at three different airports across South Africa, all connecting thanks to a Motown classic and our improved network. The campaign brought all the benefits of being on our network to life and showed that no matter where we were, we could all be together.
This, of course, you knew as an MTN customer, so why are we even mentioning it? Well, because this time our network has improved even more. Did you know that we offer the most improved network coverage in South Africa?
This is based on Ookla’s analysis of Speedtest Intelligence data between July and December 2016. What’s more, looking again at Ookla’s analysis of Speedtest Intelligence data between July and December 2016, a national average of LTE tests over Q4 of 2016, we now have a 45% faster LTE network, coming in at an average of 24.7Mbps. This means better streaming, faster uploads and downloads and very little buffering.
***Stay connected on the network where less than 1% of calls are dropped
Founded on independent research conducted between 1 September and 31 December 2016, we can proudly say that our customers experience less than 1% dropped calls. What this means for you is that each phone has stronger connectivity and excellent voice quality. Because, ‘no matter where we are, we can always be together’.
