Call holding, waiting and diverting

Manage multiple calls or send them to a different number

  • Overview

If someone calls you while you’re on the phone, you’re alerted that you have a call waiting. You can then choose to answer the second call and put the first on hold. You can also put a call on hold to make a second call.

    Cost

If you’re an MTN PayAsYouGo subscriber, the caller pays for the initial call, as well as the divert at the applicable price plan rates. On MTN Contract, the caller pays for the initial call and the divert is paid for by the person being called at the applicable price plan rates.

Diverting incoming calls to your voicemail is free. If you divert calls to another number, you’re charged at your applicable price plan rates.
